About the Tools Menu:

Do not use any of the commands in the Tools menu unless you know what you are doing.  They can damage your data or degrade performance.

The tools menu contains three options that can be selected (Continuous Disk Test, Read/Write Disk Test, and Mfg. Defect List for Format) and three commands which can be performed (Run Install, Write Driver to Disk, and Set Drive Type).  For more information select the topic from the list to the left.
